The Directorate of Religious Affairs applied hate speech in their reply to questions on the discrimination against LGBTI+ individuals, calling their situation “pathological,” “abnormal and certainly not from birth,” “excessive/out of boundaries” and an “exhaustive, great sin.” Targeting the LGBTI+ fight for rights as well, the Religious Affairs stated, “LGBT is a roof word that is used more in the fight for homosexual rights. However, this is not a right, this is a matter of superstition.” Using the expression, “sexually deviant” for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people, the Religious Affairs defined intersex as a “disorder.”
